Experiential in approach, this module will help you develop professional legal and transferable skills in a real-world context. Specifically, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a law-related employer brief. In doing so, you’ll develop essential career management skills such as:
- communication and presentation
- teamwork
- leadership
- evaluative judgement
- project management.
This module will help you be prepared for future CV building opportunities including legal internships and other work placements.
Module learning outcomes
- Demonstrate engagement, participation, and personal responsibility in a practical ‘employer’ task.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and communicate information, ideas, and solutions appropriate for the target audience.
- Demonstrate effective oral communication of legal advice and/or legal information suitable for a work like context such as a ‘work in progress’ review.
- Initiate and undertake practical legal research.
