Last updated: Wednesday, 16 April 2025

The University commitment to staff networks encourages managers to support members to attend network meetings and events during their working hours where business needs allow. This is part of valuing the crucial contribution of our staff networks and their important role in supporting us to achieve our goals outlined in the Inclusive Sussex strategy.
About the network
The Neurodiversity Staff Network aims to support staff who identify with neurodivergence or are curious about neurodivergence. Neurodivergence sits across social identity and medical conditions that includes but is not limited to ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia.
The network operates and meets predominantly through Microsoft Teams where staff are able to connect with each other, share helpful resources and provide peer support. The network now has over 150 members, with activity including:
- an active Teams channel sharing information and support
- monthly network meeting online, and 3 in-person meet ups each year
- a termly newsletter highlighting both university and external events, support and updates
Their latest newsletter is available to access .
